Heat, pressure, tension, release
Four things our devices do, described plainly.
Warmth
Applied heat between about 40 and 55 °C makes tight muscle feel looser and more comfortable to move. Our heating panels hold a steady temperature you choose, and switch off on a timer.
Kneading
Rotating nodes press into a muscle and roll off it, the way a thumb does. Reversing direction every minute keeps the pressure from settling into one groove.
Percussion
A short, fast stroke presses into the muscle and withdraws before the tissue can brace against it. Depth of stroke is what separates percussion from vibration.
Compression
Airbags that inflate slowly and release apply a moving, even pressure across a curved surface such as the eyes or the scalp, where a rigid device could not.
Questions
Are these medical devices?
No. They are wellness devices for personal comfort. They are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition.
Who should ask a doctor first?
Anyone with an implanted device, a circulatory or skin condition, an injury that has not been assessed, or who is pregnant.
How long should a session be?
Fifteen minutes is the default on every device with a timer. Shorter is fine. Longer is rarely useful.
